The search for 74-year-old Ernst Steynberg ended on Tuesday after he was found deceased. He had been missing since Sunday, 26 July, when he was reported missing from Rietvallei farm near Rysmierbult.
Farmers, farm workers, Working on Fire teams, the police dog unit and community members took part in the search. No further details about the circumstances were available by Tuesday.
His family thanked those who assisted with the search and supported them during the difficult period.
