About this opportunity.
The School of Accounting Sciences at North-West University is seeking a lecturer or senior lecturer for its Potchefstroom Campus. The position includes classroom teaching, research output and participation in community-engagement work.
WHAT THE ROLE INVOLVES
Responsibilities.
- Teach assigned accounting classes in line with NWU’s teaching and learning approach.
- Produce research outputs agreed with the programme leadership.
- Take part in School of Accounting Sciences community-engagement projects.

Key requirements.
- Lecturer applicants need an Honours degree in Accountancy and membership of CIMA, SAIPA, ACCA or AGA(SA).
- Lecturer applicants need three years of accounting-field experience and five years of full-time teaching experience at an accredited contact institution.
- Senior lecturer applicants additionally need an MCom in Accountancy or an equivalent NQF level 9 qualification.
- Master’s-level postgraduate supervision experience is recommended.
